| Fergie has a problem "down below" HELP PLEASE!! Well I know I typed a large thread before with the problems I had with Fergie, well now I have a couple more. She had a check up when she was fixed ...and they were saying everything is fine with her... well what Ive noticed is her butt REALLY stinks....but it doesnt stink like poop.....it is really not a nice smell at all...i noticed when she was sitting on my lap.....its been like that for a few days......I have no clue what it is....on top of that she has a few red marks that have appeared on her skin around her stomach area....the only thing I can think of is that we switched her to Nutro Natural choice...now all this stuff is going on...her eyes tear more than ever...and her coat is more of a mess. Should I switch her to Royal Canine ??? some advice please!!!! |

Then again, that usually does smell like poop, bad poop, so you might have a different problem that you might want to show the vet. As for switching food, we had great luck switching to nutro natural choice. If you do find yourself switching foods, do so gradually. Start with 95 percent of the old food, 5 percent of the new, then add 5 more percent of the new food each day and subtract from the old. Not sure about the rash.

| Anal gland came to mind to. Also, if the smell is sorta 'fihsy' or so.........it could mean an infection..........I would seek medical intervention regardless. Good luck and let us know what it is.....

| A great dog food for teary eyes is Canidae. I know alot of people who have had great success drying up under their eyes by feeding the canidae

| Call your vet. If she was recently spayed, it may be that a problem has developed, even though her post op checkup was okay. Red on the stomach and smell doesn't sound good at all. |
