Heartgard Plus and Itchy Skin Condition
Has anyone had any problems with their yorkies chewing on their legs and constant itching after they have taken given their dogs heartgard plus? I'm realizing that my Me-Me never had a problem until she started on it. I can't find any help on the web about it.
This is Me-Me..our baby and her sisters!

Now that you make the connection between Heartguard and itching, yes, my little girl gets itchy too. I have just attributed the itching to the winter weather. I would love to know if there is an alternative.

it might be the additives used to make the heartguard into a chewy pill. Instead of heartguard you can ask your vet for Interceptor. Its just as good, if not better then heartguard. I believe it takes care of more types of internal parasites then the HG. i have morgan on it and she hasn't had an itching problem
