My Yorkie is pregnant can anyone help me with some questions? :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork My Yorkie is pregnant and I can feel the babies moving around. Does anyone know how you can tell when she will give birth? I think she must have got locked up around the 1st of December 07. Please help me if you can. |
Help Our Yorkie May Go In Labor Any Minute Now!! HELP PLEASE!!! My yorkie is about to give birth any minute now. She's at 62 days, and her temp at 7:30am was 96*... she has been digging and nestlinng for the past hour. She has also vomited and been experiencing restlessness for a while now. We are unsure how to go about the procedures for this is ours and her first time whelping and we are in need of guidance. Are there any other precaustions we should know about to make this more comfortable for our dog. We heard some stories about how the mother will actually not know that she is actually giving birth. In this case, how do we help her through the process. We have also read about ceasarians being common for Yorkies, and we are unsure of what these signs may look like if it is necessary. |

I am so sorry to hear thing are not going well. I will say a pray for the little mamma and her babies. Please keep us updated. |
Bella had the c-section and the other two pups were stillborn. She only has one surviving puppy. Do you think that the vet should have perforned the c-section sooner than waiting almost 12 hours from when the last puppy was born? This is most upsetting to me and I can only imagine how Bella must be feeling during this postpartum. I have questioned the vet, but he said they did all they could. I believe they could have saved the remaining puppies if they acted sooner. Please tell me your thoughts on this issue |
I guess the vet may have had his reasons......but I cannot imagine a situation in which waiting almost 12 hours to do a c-section would be prudent. In reality you will never know if they could have been saved, but I think it is safe to say they would have at least had a chance. I personally would be probably be looking for another vet. |
Forgot to say that I am so sorry for your bad experience, but happy that mom is ok. |
