| Here's what I noticed. Our puppy had that smelly doggy odor when she was eating regular pet food, especially the cheaper brands. But she got very finicky and wouldn't eat regular pet food for a while, so we cooked people food for her for a while, like ground chicken, bisson, veal, venison, chicken livers and fed her raw vegetables for snacks in between. During that period, I swear to you, she did not have that smell. But recently she's dropped her finickiness, and is back to eating regular pet food (specifically Cesars, which we do know is not one of the better ones, but we are just happy she eats right now), and again I swear to you, she has that doggy odor back! So, I'm wondering what you feed your babies. It might be interesting to see if you make your puppy's food, rather than feed commercial dog food, whether it changes the smell. |
