| Any Frontline + side affects, or other flea meds.. Yesterday, I gave Bailey his Frontline Plus treatment ( which he used all last summer) But, instantly he started acting skiddish and was hovering around my feet, (like when hes scared) Then he slept for 4 hours straight,, then about 9pm last night he ate and vomitted it up,,, All the while, hes acting fine and playing, etc, Then today at lunch he ate and vommited again... But still acts fine?? I dont remember him ever acting like this from last year. ( I dont give it to him during the winter months) Someone at work told me that they heard.. the flea med. burn their skin,, and thats why he acted weird right after I put it on,,, but the vomitting had me worried Has anyone else experienced this?

| the only problem i ever had with flea medication was when i first got my Chewy and i bought a store brand one. after applying it he started walking sideways so needless to say i took him to the vet immediately. the vet told me that store brand flea meds are not good and can cause spinal problems. since then i have used frontling and have not had any problems. i would definately call your vet. maybe your bailey somehow injested some of the meds? hope he feels better soon. |

| I just used a flea and tick topical similar to frontline on my yorkie. His poops have been a little runny for the last few days. The woman I got him from said it's not unusual for small dogs to have a slight adverse reaction such as runny stool or vomiting, and she said not to worry about it--that he should be back to his old self in no time. Hope this helps! |

| I ALSo use Frontline My doggie has never showed any bad reactions to Frontline.....but He is under 10lbs and his hospital has never said anything about him not being able to use it. I'm a little concerned though. I'm considering switching to Advantix..because it also repels Mosquitos..but I was always told Frontline was the best flea/tick medicine. It's kept him tick/flea free. ??? |

| When I got my Chewy home (HI to the other Chewy) i found a tick on him and our vet put frontline on him but only a 1/4 of the tube because of his small size - 1lb, 7 oz. He was fine. i wonder if your up got a larger dose than necessary. |

| Haven't used Frontline but my Gypsy Rose absolutley freaks out when I put ANY flea stuff on her.. she goes crazy... I now tend to do it just immediately prior to a walk so her attention is taken away from it.... no vomiting though ever.. She is really upset by it though and I've never had a dog act like this. When we go to Spain in Dec and come back into UK it will be Frontline that they use so we'll see but my little one, Gizzie doesn't react like Gypsy!! |

YT Addict | My vet's assistant said just put half on my two lbs, but my daughter's vet in Texas says never to use it. I haven't put anything on them this year, just check every day before bed for ticks. Why should it be safe for tiney yorkies and not safe for humans is my strategy. Are they going to develop cancer of some sort later on and we find out it was from the pesticides we put on our little babies. I guess i'm silly, but i don't want to put anything on my doggies that isn't safe for me.So i pick ticks off me, my husband and my doggies when necessary. |

| pesticides i know some chemical pesticide that once treated lice on humans was banned in the 70's... the web says pesticides can cause al sorts of problems: cancer seizures, vomiting, spinal problems, painful skin leisions, neurological issues, behavioral changes... Nonetheless, ticks and or fleas can carry harmful and deadly diseases such as lyme disease to name one. I just applied Advantage to my sisters yorkie who I am babysitting..and she started pacing around the apartment and walking in circles looking nervous and upset..so i read the label on the box and learned there was a pesticide as the active ingredient. After a little internet research realized other dogs do the same thing when their owners put advantage on them and that some dogs have died from it! so I wiped it off of her with soaked paper towel. She stopped pacing but now she is laying down in the other room gloomily and disgruntled. Poor thing. I hate seeing her suffer and am paranoid now because she has soooo many problems that could be linked to the advantage. she has had a major behavior change over the years, she has skin lesions, liver problems, has a crooked back when she goes to the bathroom and sometimes when she lays down, she has had a seizure, and she vomits sometimes... Now I am going to have to explain to my sister that she should find another method of prevention...even though she has spent thousands of $$ on her already...ahh what a headache. I dont want her getting lyme disease either though... | Advantage makes Jasper sick. He acts really tired and throws up but the Frontline works great and doesn't bother him at all.
