| Can you freeze kibble?? i am in the process of switching from Nutro to Innova for Harley and just got the bag in today... and it is a lot bigger than i thought it would be. what is the best way to store it?? i have a tupperware that i use that will hold about a lb. or so which lasts him a while so this bag will probably last months

| Absolutely! I have a "Food Saver" ... you know, you use the bags & it sucks the air out and keeps food for months? I just make small bags and if it's dry kibble, you don't have to freeze it if you don't want to. Just store it in a cool place .... back of a cabinet/pantry, etc.

| I freeze kibble all the time. It keeps it fresh and I can get a better deal on the larger bags.

| I have a 'tupperware' looking bin that is especially for dog/cat kibble. It is clear, closes air-tight, keeps food fresh and free of invaders (ants). It also has wheels. I got ours at petsmart.

| I keep mine in a large Rubbermaid container. Was much cheaper than the containers at petsmart. |

| here is the letter i received from Innova today regarding freezing: Dear pet lover, Thank you for contacting us about our products. You have 3 months after opening a bag in which to use it. We recommend that you keep the food in the original bag with the top tightly rolled down, and store in a cool, dry, preferably dark place. Do not store it on a cement floor, under a sink, in a laundry room, or a hot garage. Refrigeration is optimum, but freezing is not recommended because it can affect palatability. You may refrigerate our food for up to 6 months in a glass container. If you want to store it in another container, we recommend storing the entire bag in the container rather than dumping it out of the bag. Some plastics and metals can react with the food and decrease freshness, and even containers that claim they are "airtight" allow air to flow through, which affects freshness. I hope I have given enough information to adequately address your query. If you have any further questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at your convenience. Please reference the original e-mail when responding. Veronica Moreno Customer Service Natura Pet Products 1-800-532-7261
