| What To Use For Tear Stains? Hi guys. I'm having an awful time keeping Tia's eyes stain free. Tia is a Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie) and her eyes are constantly stained. I've tried the eye cleaners to get the goop out and it does clean them, but the stains remain. A groomer recommended "Eye Envy" but I've never heard of it. Has anyone tried this or something else that they have had success with. Thanks, Elaine |

| I've heard Eye Envy doesn't work - I'm sure if you do a search on YT it will come up and you can see what others have to say. You might want to try this product: http://www.nativeremedies.com/petali...-cleanser.html |

| Hi, I have a friend who breeds Maltese and Maltese/mixes. She has said that tear stains are not as common when you are sure to not feed the little white or light colored dawgs food or treats with red dye in them. Hope this helps. Teri

| I've tried every product for eye stain on my Mi-Ki. I finally changed his dog food after finding out that beet pulp can cause eye stain and more tearing. I switched this dog to Wellness Simple Solutions Duck Formula. He's doing well on it. I have 3 dogs and each is on a different food. Jessica |

| I just bought a product called Angels Eyes from my groomer today. She has a Maltese and it works for her! So I'll let you know if it works for us too. It takes a few weeks to notice the difference, I'm told. It's just a small sprinkle a day on their food

| You might like to try this: Eye Gunk Here is a secret i found on the maltese forum for eye discolorations. Take 2 denture cleaning tablets add to 1/4 cup of water when completly disolved use a paper towel and dab on the stains (do not get into the eye itself) let sit about thirty minutes and wash off , I can tell you this really works! my maltese gets this done about every three weeks it can also be used on beard stains ... |

| I have not try this but: I had read on some forum that by giving them a little pain yogurt a day stops the stains, but when you stop and the new hair grown out it will stain again. I have to tell you guys this story I hope you don't mind I had told this thing about the yogurt to my sister, she has a Maltese. About 3 wks ago she calls me and some how this came up again.... then she asked me " I wanted to ask you about that yogurt thing, do I feed it to Melissa or put it on her face?" I started laughing and told her " No, you do not put it on her face like a facial mask"....."oh, just wait until I tell me friends". She said I could tell the story only if I also let everyone know this is her first time owning a doggie and knows nothing! but she is trying very hard to be a good doggie mom to her Melissa...so much that she was willing to give Melissa weekly yogurt facials..LOL My little sister
