				   | yep my friend rescued one about 6 months ago he was 15 lbs and as round as a bull dog...he is on a very slow diet and as lost 2lbs so far, his body frame should be perhaps at best 8-9 lbs.

				   | My brother has a friend who rescued one that was somewhere in the 20lb range. She went on a diet & I think now is somewhere around 12. She is definitely a teapot anyway...she has a big frame, but was overweight. She's better now, though.

				   | Lacy was 4 pounds her whole life, but then ballooned to just over 7 pounds! She was diagnosed with Cushing's disease which causes a very abnormal hunger. |

				   | Oh yeah. We have two or three that come to us for grooming....it's very sad. Their breathing is so harsh b/c their so fat. And their parents just don't get it. It makes me so angry when parents let their furkids get fat like that >:/

				   | on l/d food for her liver shunt she gained 2.5-3 lbs! the vet says they add calories thru carbohydrates instead of the protein since it is a low meat protein diet. but now her triglycerides are waaay to high so we need to figure out a diet that is low in fats and meat proteins. any suggestions?sara |
