| After neutering My Peanut is getting neutered on Friday I can feel the knots in my stomach starting. Anyway I have a question on what to feed him when he comes home. He eats Califorina natural lamb and rice dry, should I have some boiled chicken and rice ready for him? |

| Thats what I did for mine when they were spayed and neutered. I thought it would be easier on their stomachs

| The vet told me that they anesthesia makes them naucious. I would have boiled chicken and rice for him and then start giving his regular food again the next day. My vet also told me not to let him chug water. Give him a little, then wait like 30 minutes, and if he doesn't throw it up, then give him a little more, wait 30 minutes, etc. etc. Just don't let him come home and chug water. |

| Oscar had 14 teeth pulled when he went for his neuter, so his mouth was a little sore! He was starving when I got him home that night though so he got a nice little treat of canned food. He didn't have any problems post neuter.

| Charlie had a bunch of teeth extracted, so he could only eat soft food for quite a while afterwards.... The vet or one of the techs should sit down with you and give you aftercare instructions. Mine even gives detailed, written handouts to take home. |
