| Been almost a year since this was bumped. When I think that I almost lost my little baby before I even got a chance to get to know her more, it makes me all teary eyed. She and Izzy own our hearts and can't imagine life without them

| Just bumping up for any new puppy owners. They can go downhill so quickly, and I know Luna would not be here with us if it wasn't for the wonderful breeder lady who helped us. Thank you Bitsy!!!!!!

| Well, I figured I may as well bump this up, since I searched it out for a new puppy mom. It's amazing to me that Luna will be 6 years old in July I only wish that every person that sold tiny puppies would at least WARN people about hypoglycemia, as many don't make it If we had known about this, it wouldn't have gotten to the emergency situation that it was. Thanks to YT for all the wonderful things that I've learned here to help my babies have better lives. They are healthy, happy, and thriving due to all of YOU Not to mention that I have made some wonderful friends

a. don't know any better b. don't care I hate to say it, but I think most fall under b ... all they care about is money in hand. It is just so common and so sad. So many puppies die needlessly.

| You are so right, LJ. It's very sad and I just can't wrap my head around the fact that these "people" knowingly do this to innocents. Makes me ill

Just wish there was a way to fix it but sadly it just keeps getting worse. You might think that educating the public would work...but it doesn't. I want to scream when people come on YT and argue with us saying oh, they know all of the risks but they are buying their 8 week old tiny puppy anyway. If you cannot reach the purchasers, then the people who are breeding will never stop. Very frustrating.

Demand = supply People are so instant-gratification oriented these days. I want it NOW, I don't want to hear about what could go wrong, it won't happen to ME Those greeders count on that, meanwhile breeding everything and anything with sexual organs to turn a buck. We can only hope that there si a very special, VERY hot place for these folk when they pass on!

| Hi There everyone. I just have a quick question on Lunas Mama hypoglycemic recipe. Is it okay that my yorkie can have half & half? I'm planning on trying to recipe out tonight because my yorkie is not feeling so well either. His blood sugar level was at 51. We just got him back from the vet and he was given some Karo syrup. Tobey's resting right now but I'm just so worried still. His next feedings at 3:30 but only his Royal Canin mashed up with warm water. I have to wait for my husband to come home after work tonight to go buy the stuff for Lunas recipe. |

| If you are having sugar issues, I would be mixing baby food chicken in with that kibble...you want frequent meals, asmuch as baby will eat. If you want to try that "hypoglycemia formula", I would not give half and half. Substitute Kefir milk, which is a fabulous probiotic and will keep pups digestive tract balanced....it is 99% lactose free, lo fat, and your pup will tolerate it. Or use puppy milk, with Karo added. |

| Hi there Yorkiemom. Thank you very much for your advice. He doesn't want to eat nor drink. I've been forced feeding him and giving him nutri-cal by the hour. He just seems so lethargic. I'm so worried and his vet was not that great of a help. . Just gave him .5ml of karos and said he's fine now. That's when the diarrhea started. Now, several hours later and he's just resting. At least no more throw ups or diarrhea. |
