| CARBS: Good or Bad for Our Babies??? I have heard from several people that carbs are bad for dogs.. like bread.. rice.. etc. Also, when you give them chicken, how do you cook it? Just boil and chop up? Is it okay to give them cottage cheese and parmesan cheese? And what's good for stinky breath? I heard Greenies are VERY BAD for dogs.. it supposedly doesn't digest in their stomach.. and they can get very sick.. |

Cottage cheese is good..no parm, though, I dont think. Greenies= VERY BAD..try things like bully sticks or flossies..those are easy to digest.. For bad breath, try putting apple cider vinegar in their drinking water I put about 1/4 ts in a bowl..

| I home cook meals for my 3 Yorkies, bought a cook book called Barkers Grub and the receipes are pretty basic which includes ingrediants like rice, cottege cheese, parmassian (sp) cheese, yams, green beans and quite a few other things I havent tried yet. Last Sunday, I boiled a chicken and threw in a yam, green beens, broccoli and I toss in a little cottege cheese when the food is cool enough for them to eat - they love it. I have or I should say I had an extremly picky eater, was getting to the point of my having to pry his teeth apart and put tiny amounts of food in his mouth - not a pleaant thing to go thru. Anyway, since I started cooking, he is quite the little pig and I have to watch him because he tries to steal the puppys food when he isnt looking! |
