| Me-Me is still scratching My Me-Me has been using the special shampoo and creme rinse from the dermatologist and she is not any better. He said it if doesn't help he wants her on a special diet that he slowly minus parts to see if she has any allergies. All of our yorkies would have to go on it. He keeps wanting her on an antihistamine and I say no. She was born with PDA and even though her heart murmur is so much better that we have put off her surgery, I worry they could stress her heart. She is only around 3 pounds now. I just don't know what to do. She just chews on her front legs constantly.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | We are struggling with the "itchies" right now and our vet suggested adding Fish Oil to their diet....so we purchased some Salmon Oil from Petco and we are seeing some positive results. I hope you can get her some relief.....as it is stressful not only to them, but too us to watch them be so miserable.

| We are feeding her Nutra Natual Choice, Lite. I will put her on some fish oil. Doesn't fish oil have mercury in it?

| I'll look into the fish oil and the super 5 wellness. I just want her to be able to sleep again with out chewing on herself all night. The poor baby.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | I will check my bottle when I get home to see for sure about the mercury....as that is a great question. I went to the Salmon Oil website and it does not mention mercury at all.....but I will post again on this thread tonight after I read the bottle myself. The other thing my vet mentioned if all else fails is to use a Benadryl shampoo that is by prescription only. Our little Magic has terrible tummy problems and has been put on a prescription diet that is high fiber....so that means all the things that make these pups itch....but the food is keeping her tummy under control....so the vet want to try other things to stop the itching instead of changing foods again.

| Thanks. Please let me know. If you pm me they send a email to let me know. I'll ask my vet about the shampoo too. She can't have the regular benadryl because of her heart.
