Hi all!! My little girl Sadie had an accident again today, she pooped on the floor. I caught har in the act so she started eating the poo as if to hide the evidence. She has never don ethis before when I have caught her. I was wandering if there are any side effects I should worry about?

No there are no side effects and poo eating is very normal for young pups. Both of mine stopped doing it when they were about 4 months old

Thanks Chachi for the quick reply. She is however not a young pup, she's 9yrs old. I always refer to her as my little girl as she acts like a pup most of the time

Oh well in that case I bet she doesnt continue to do it and I bet she was just trying to hide it

Some dogs are poop eaters. She may have done it before, and maybe you didn't see her.

Chachi will eat Ollies poop, but not his own. I have to watch to make sure I get it cleaned up right away.
