| My baby boy gets car sick.. Hi, all I have a question my yorkie boy gets sick whenever we go on drives longer than 10-15 minutes, he will throw up. I only can take him on short trips, like driving the kids to school and back and he is fine. I thought he would get used to the car rides, but then I tried a long trip again and he threw up twice, thankfully I had him in his crate that time... Any suggestions on how I can get him to stop throwing up OR will he ever get rid of it??? He is almost 8 months old and I'v always tooken him in the car, but stopped taking him on long trips because of the throwing up. I continued taking him on short trips under 10 minutes and he's fine. Any suggestions anyone???? P.S. He was also shipped to me when he was 17 weeks old and he was fine, no sickness at all....

| Well I would tell you that he would out grow it probably because I thought My Jewels had. She used to get sick when she was a puppy then she just stopped. However we took her on a long car ride this past Saturday and she got sick again. I have read you can give them ginger snaps and it helps

I will look into a seat, thanks, I'm willing to try anything at this point. I have three yorkies and the youngest just got her last set of shots and rabies so that means she gets to go bye, bye now, but then that means my little guy is by himself . Well my mom is here with him but it's not fair he doesn't get to go riding around...

| Ask your vet if he has something you can medicate him with. I wonder if they have doggie Dramamine? I know my SIL used to give her weimariner something when they would come to visit us.

I use it when I take my babies to shows. My boy use to be fine in the car and now he gets extremely sick. My vet said a whole one was fine, but I felt better only using a half and it worked... I got it at Walgreens.. | |

| When we first got Maggie, she would throw-up everytime we got in the car and driving. My friend gave me the Bach's Rescue Remedy and she is fine. We don't have any issues anymore with her traveling short or long distance. You can get Bach's Rescue Remedy at any natural foodstores. I give her about a drop.
