My furkids Donating Member | JMO but, maybe he is going through a growth spurt...how much did he much does he weigh? Again...JMO but, you should have him on puppy food. there are ingredients in it that a growing puppy needs..have you tried mixing a tiny bit of soft food with his kibbles? What kinds of puppy food have you tried? How about a little bit of boiled chicken breast mixed with the kibble.

| Your puppies weight I suggest you watch the video: "Truth About Pet Foods" This pet health food has made a tremendous difference in my Yorkies health. It is delivered fresh to your door and it's very affordable. If you have pet health questions, I can forward them to Dr Jane Bicks, DVM. She is a nationally known holistic veterinarian and she is available to help us all with our pet health and nutrition questions. |

| Reece is 15 weeks old and a little butter ball. He eats a normal puppy diet, consisting ONLY of Royal Canin Puppy food. I dont give him extras and very little treats..just one treat broken up into tiny pieces for training. He is VERY active and the vet says VERY healthy...he is just round!! I know he is doing well and healthy and just a growing boy. He is 2.8 pounds but looks like 5!! I bet if he is eating right and active then your pup is probaby ok too!! Have a check up and make sure his health is good and if so then he is just a growing kid!! Dawn |

| Now that we are on the subject...Daisy is 5 months old, and she weighs 4.4lbs. Is that normal or will she be a bigger sized yorkie? Just wondering if any of you yorkie experts would know?!

| Glad your vet thought the weight gain was normal. Sounds like way too much to me, I would expect no more than 1 and 1/2 pounds. Maybe the scales were not correct on the weights you were comparing. |

| I have to keep Adonis's food on a chair, that Venus can't get on....yet. If I put it his food down, she wouldn't touch her kibble either! One day they will both be on the same food, but until then...I keep them separate. Strange thing is Adonis won't touch her kibble! So I can keep it on the floor! |

| When I got my puppy at 11 weeks, she weighed 3.8 lbs. She gained a whole pound in 16 days just recently at her vet appt. She is almost 14 weeks and weighs 4.9 lbs. She has long legs and eats Nutro puppy food three times a day/3 tbsp. each feeding. I give her honey nut cheerios as a treat for potty training (which she loves and will gladly go outside for those). Do you think this is too much food?? She is a little hefty to be, but the vet tech says she is fine and can still feel the last rib without pushing to find it. Can anybody guess how big she will finally get to? |
