| We got a six week old yorkie on Monday. So far he has slept most of the time. He is awake about 45min to 1 hour and then sleeps 2-3 hours. He runs, plays, and eats while awake. Is it normal to sleep so long? |

| man he is young. I was worried about getting Cosmo too early at almost nine weeks. Yes, Cosmo sleeps A LOT. He is about the same.

| Yea hes young hes gonna sleep most of the time. My little girl Jewels slept almost all the time untill she got to be about ten weeks old. Then I noticed her being up for longer periods of time.

| Six weeks is so young to get a puppy! Did you buy from a breeder? When Fred came home at 11 weeks, he pretty much slept a lot too. He was nowhere near active and playful. I guess he's making up for it now! But anyway... congrats on the new addition to the family! |

| We did get Toby from a breeder. She let all of the puppies go at six weeks. he weighs one pound. He has been to the vet and she gave us nutrical to keep his blood sugar up. she said he was healthy but to keep a close eye on his food and behavior, so he doesn't go into shock. So far he is eating four times a day and sleeping alot. We give him nutrical three times a day. His favorite pasttime while awake is chewing. He is the cutest little thing. |

| Wow....that young and that small I would keep a close eye on his eating for sure!! And make sure he has a warm place to cuddle .....getting cold is a stress for tiny (& young) pups! Good luck...keep us posted on how he does. |

| Is he eating dry food? If so, I'd keep it available to him all the time since he is so young. Nutrical is a good idea too!
