I think you keep them on puppy food until they are at least a year

The good thing about Chicken Soup Puppy is that it is formulated for ALL life stages for doggies. It says on the bag. I have tiny babies (3 lbs and 2 lbs) and the kibbles in the Puppy formula are much smaller than the Adult formula. I am going to always feed my yorkies the Puppy, even after they are a year old, until they start looking overweight. Also, on the Dog Food Reviews website, the Puppy formula got 5 stars and the Adult formula only got 4 stars. That is another reason why I'm sticking with the Puppy vs. the Adult.

Darla (6 months) and Reece (11 weeks) both have Royal Canin but one food is puppy and one is puppy mini. I am going to leave Darla on the puppy food till she is one and then switch her to the Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier formula. She still tries to sneak her brothers food though because it is smaller hehe.... Dawn

| I am sorry to cross post this but is it alright to keep them on puppy food when they are older?? Trixie is just a little bit over a year old but I have 3 other dogs that are still puppies and won't be a year old for awhile. It is impossible to get her to eat adult food when the puppies all have their puppy food. So I gave in and let her eat the puppy food. So until the others get a year old and they are switched to adult food, is it alright for Trixie to still have the puppy food even though she is a year old??? Oh and it is Chicken Soup for puppies.

Thanks so much for the feed back. I thought it was 1 year but I wasn't quite sure! I hope that Brinkly eats the chicken soup b/c he doesn't really like any of the other puppy foods I have bought him.
