| Wetting Kibble?? Hi everyone, I am new here. I have owned two Yorkies in the past and now, I am getting my third this Wednesday and the breeder was telling me to wet his food and serve it warm. The puppy will be 10 weeks old. I never ever wet my puppy's kibble with the past yorkies I have had. Just wondering, anyone else get this advice or have done this? I just want to make sure he eats, but I think he's old enough to be on straight kibble (small bites). |

| I used to wet Cali's when she was finicky about eating..it makes the smell come out more. I also did it when she lost her baby teeth cause she had a hard time crunching it up.

| okay I will start doing that and then gradually move him to the dry kibble. I know it will be a culture shock to him as it is living away from his momma and litter mates..so I want to make his transition as smooth as possible. thanks |

| I saw a doggie nutritionist and she suggested to always wet the food, it digests easier unlike dry that takes about 12 hours to break down and digest

| When I first put Venus on Kibble, I wet it just a tad. I'd drop water from my fingers on it. After she got used to it, I quit wetting it. She loves crunching on her dry kibble now. |

| I wet half of Peanut's food only so he thinks it is something special. Then he eat the rest dry. |

| When my pup was little and wouldn't eat,the best advice I got was to wet her kibble with warm water-it brings out the smell and flavour. If that is what she is used to, go with it. You can gradually introduce dry kibble or have it available. The last thing you want is a pup who won't eat--happened to me and was very worrying for about 2 months!
