| Is Premium Dog Food really Better I'm new here, just thought I'd pass on some information I saw recently as I have always wondered about the differences in dog food and whether Premium was worth the cost and made a difference. This page says it does, with links to other independent sources. top of the page: http://www.snoozer-dog-beds.com/Dog%...Cat%20Food.htm and also see here http://www.snoozer-dog-beds.com/Dog%...andCatFood.htm The pages reference two online magazines and their recommendations, and says both magazines are good online independent sources with unbiased advice; I have heard of both before but it was nice to see the recommendation for them: Whole Dog Journal, which once each year, in the Jan or Feb issue lists acceptable dog food brands and their manufacturers, and Good Dog Magazine, which did a cost comparison study on Premium vs Econ dog food. Outcome was that Premium is better, costs less over the long term because less volume of feeding for higher nutritional value, and also causes less poop. Saves time and money. Who woulda thought? Costs less over time. Thought it was of value. |

| I have always thought premium dog food was better than the regular dog food. Just look at the ingredients and you can see how much better a premium dog food is. Also, with most dogs, you can notice the overall improved difference it makes to have a dog on a premium dog food as opposed to a cheap brand.

| In one word, yes. I wouldn't feed junk if I knew better.
