| Seriously, my yorkie is allergic to her brother the cat! I guess in light of the true suffering in the world, this is a minor issue...but, I am at a loss. Ginger's food allergy list came back last week and after extensive research and a lot of good opinions from fellow yorkietalkers (thanks), I've switched her to a new food, and began looking forward to the day I could get her off her regimen of benedryl and medrol. Then yesterday, I get the inhalent allergy report. She is allergic to mold, grass, fleas, and CAT DANDER. We have a dehumidifier running 24-7 in the basement, and no visible mold (although the house was built in the 30's and we live in a damp climate, so I'd be amazed if there's none at all). She's only had fleas ONCE and we got rid of them immediately. As far as the grass goes, I've been told to rinse her feet off everytime we come indoors, and use the a/c, heat to reduce the amount of outdoor air in circulation. We also remove our shoes at the door. But, what do I do about the cat???? I have a call into the vet to find out if she has a plan of action. I'd love any thoughts on this. Thanks!

| I have the same allergies as Ginger. So I don't go anywhere someone has a cat. I got allergie injections for years, it helped on alot of different things, but not cats. My girlfriend got injections for her allergies from her cat & it worked. I think our babies experience alot that we do. Good luck! |

| Oh no that is a bummer. I am sorry to hear poor Ginger is suffering so with allergies. I don't have any suggestions for you I just wanted to send Ginger my love. I have allergies too so I know how she feels. I am also allergic to cats. I hope you can come up with a solution.
