| This is pretty amazing since we are careful to buy and feed only "quality" food to Bailey. I am curious as to what others are feeding or preparing for their pets to eat that is well balanced, nutritional etc. Is there a resource for this? Thanks, SamC and Bailey |

| It's articles like that one that made me start buying all natural, human grade dog food. If those companies are lying to me about what is in their food I'm going to be furious.

| *BUMP* *TTT* etc I bumped this because it's important that people here see this. I know the fun threads are well..... more fun but most here seem to really love their pets. The information in the article is NOT fiction as much as I and you may want it to be. The author did her research well because she knew there would be much skeptisicm.denial. DO yourself a favour if you haven't checked the links, please do so. You best friend may just love you for life (a longer, healthier life!) |

| I've read some articles on this subject before, but nothing like that. That's why I changed from Iams to Canidae. I am going to re-read the ingredient list again though just to be safe. Thanks for the info! |

| Thats what the artice is trying to tell you..it doesnt matter what the ingredients on the bag of kibble say..they arent going to tell you that it has hoofs, skin, blood, eyes, cencerous tissue etc in it..they are going to write down a list of ingredients that makes the kibble seem wonderful. Iv never taken much notce of what the ingredients say because as the article says, they are just telling you half the story..they tell you what you want to hear. You never know what your dog is really eating.. |

| The dog food companies that are adding these disgusting things to their food don't advertise it but if you look at the list of ingredients and research you can figure out what it is. You have to look for the companies that are happy to tell you exactly what they are putting in their food and what they are not. There are companies that sell food with only ingredients that we would eat, unless these companies are out right lying but I have to believe there are animal lovers out there who want to make a quality food available for our pets. They just have to charge more and I'm willing to pay. Here is an article about one of the foods I use. www.flintdogfood.com/whyfrr.htm
