| Opinions on the dog food please... Okay, after hours of exhaustive research into both homemade food (for dogs) and prepackaged food, I've decided to go with prepackaged. Too easy to make a mistake and miss an important nutrient when going homemade. I've just about settled on this food: http://www.breeders-choice.com/dog_p..._dog_trout.htm Trout and white fish are about the ONLY animal protein sources my little one is not allergic too. I found a couple of other foods, but am thinking this one looks best. I thought the protein and fat content seemed a little low though (under guaranteed analysis), and am wondering if I should supplement, or leave well enough alone. Anyone feeding their dog Pinnacle (even if it's a different formula, I'd love opinions) Thanks

| I just went to the site and read about the food. It sounds TERRIFIC. Let me know how Ginger does. I might want to give it a try. I am very frustrated with commercial dog foods. Because there is very little regulation regarding the ingredient quality, and truth in advertising is very limited (if it exists at all), it is hard to know who or what to believe. Even the PETA seal of approval doesn't mean a whole lot. They are strictly a volunteer group and have no authority to regulate-- only to gather information and make recommendations. We are at the mercy of the honesty and intregrity of the dog food manufacturers. I thought at one time that I would home make food, but then got really freaked out because I was concerned that I might not be able to supply all of the necessary nutrients in the right quantities. | Sounds like a good food for your situation. Dogs that have allergies usually need a lower protein. |

| We use Royal Canin 28 for yorkies, it helped immensely with her coat and vitality.
