| not eating My babies go through stages where they wont eat. I can try them with 10 diffferent lots of food and they wont touch it. There is NOTHING wrong with them, they just do it from time to time. They have the same food as my mums border terrier and they will eat his food but not their own? Why do they do this? im worried that they are starving, but is it true that they will eat if they are hungry enough? Last year when they acted like this i started giving them chicken, boy was that a mistake it took me ages to get them off it! Any ideas or suggested would be greatly appreciated! |

| They wont starve themselves. I have a couple that wont eat smetimes to and I just change their food up to give them some variety. I also sometimes mix their food with cottage cheese or scambled egg to give them something different

| To get my little one to eat, sometimes I'll play little games with her food. I'll take little pieces and throw it across the floor, or bounce it off the walls. She thinks it's a little game and starts eating the ones I toss. She then starts just eating out of her dish. Don't worry, they'll snap out of it and start eating when they want. I've never heard of a dog starving itself unless it was very ill, and you would know if they were ill. Good luck!

| Shredded cheese! Well, Gracie has been on a food strike of sorts for the last couple of days. I finally got her interested in lunch today by putting a few bits of shredded cheese over the top of her food, then pressing it into the wet part of the food. In order to get the cheese, she had to eat the other food too-and she did! She goes nuts over cheese. I sure hope I have not started something I will later regret!
