| Merrick's I have had Diamond since March and ever since she was always getting the Royal Canin puppy formula (dry). This is also what the breeder gave her. Well within the last week or so, she wants to do everything BUT eat her food. I tried putting chicken broth on her food and she started eating both the broth and food but she finally realized that she can just lick off the broth without tasting the food Stinker! So I ventured over to the store this past weekend and got her Merrick's puppy food (dry) and she seems to like it. Does anyone else use this? I just hope she doesn't get sick of this within a week or two. I feel like she is just testing my patience!!! She is finally eating out of her own bowl, I used to sit down with her and she would literally eat off of my lap but that got to be very time consuming and she wouldn't eat much when I couldn't be there. So have any of your babies stopped eating their food all of a sudden? Any feedback on Merrick's?

| Georgia is on Merricks Puppy Plate and has been for a few months now. I agree she is producing bigger and more poops! Merricks has such good ingredients though and I'll be darned if we're not going to finish this bag. I've been boiling up some chicken breast and mixing it in with the Merricks and that seems to help some....but I do think I'm going to try something else when we get close to the end of this bag..just to see if it makes a difference in here "output"...lol! |

| I also have my Nemo on puppy plate from Merricks. He likes alright in it's dry form add some warm water to it and he goes crazy. I also agree with the stinky nasty poop. I have to admit that I am always surpised that that much poop comes out of my 7 pound baby. It just seems impossible. John |

| Glad yall posted this, so I wont buy merricks. I've tried about everything I know and now I give up. they will have to eat what they have this time untill its gone. lol i've wasted so much money on dog food and throwing it out when they acted like they couldnt get enough of it the first few feedings of every kind i've bought then after a few days , thats it. sniff and keep walking. I give up.

| I don't know about Merricks but I feed mine Natural Balance Venison formula which they both like. Be careful to not experiement too much though, otherwise Diamond will become a picky eater since she knows you will switch the food once she stops eating. If you don't mind her being picky you can also rotate...buy a few different brands and mix and match. That only works of course if she doesn't have a sensitive tummy. Quote:

| I feed my yorkie and chihuahua Merricks Grammy's Pot Pie dry with a tiny bit of wet mixed in. They love it. We switched from Royal Canin over a year ago and haven't had any trouble with the Merricks. I like it because they use organic chicken and really good ingredients. I haven't noticed a problem with stools. My dogs can have awful stools if they eat certain treats, though. |

| I've been through the same thing with Reggie. He's 8 months old and I think I've bought him a lifetime supply of food. Maybe it's because he's older, but I think we're finally eating like a regular dog should. I started giving him some Ceasar's Puppy Food (you can buy it at Walmart or your local grocery store). He weighs 6 pounds and I give him 1/3 container twice a day plus some dry food. Reggie eats off a plate because that's what I started feeding him from when he was little. I put the Ceasar's and the dry on the same dish. After a couple of days, I noticed that he will eat his Ceasar's right away and shortly after that will come back and eat the dry food. Depending on his activity level (if he's been playing hard or just laying around sleeping) he will eat different amounts. Good luck! I also tried Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul dry food and he loves that too!

| My Sadie is very picky also. I, too, went through many many different foods. I think that it does add to the pickiness. We finally found a food that she'll eat..... Nutri Source. Then a few days later a sample from Chicken Soup came in the mail. I wanted to try it, and she liked it even better. After several days however, she started to not dig right into it like originally. What works now is just a little sprinkle of parmesean cheese on top of the dry food mixed with a little water. It works great!

| i just switched to chicken soup for the pet lovers soul puppy dry and it seems to me that my dogs are pooping like three times a day versus with their old dog food (Proplan small puppy-didn't know it wasn't good for them) i have been using missing link though on all my dogs though. i am trying the acv but only can put about three drops in their bowl....so either it's the c.s.f.t.p.l.s. (whew!) or the acv drops.
