| wet and dry food? Layla mainly eats dry food (we are switching brands next month!) but after she was spayed (on the 16th) i fed her wet food so that she would at least be eating SOMETHING.. now she is back to her dry food... does anyone feed both wet and dry?? if so.. how do you do it?? do you mix them?? is the wet food like a treat? layla gets SO excited when she sees the fridge open and the wet food comes out! any advice would be great! i know that she has to have dry for her teeth but boy does she love the wet! thanks! |

| A lot of people on here feed wet mixed with dry one or two times a day. As long as it is a high quality wet food (NOT like Ceasers) then it should be perfectly fine. Just mix it with her dry food once or twice a day and leave out just dry the rest of the day. |

| i would stick with dry only. so many say once they get a taste for wet they refuse to eat the dry. the dry is better for them. |

| We leave the dry out all time and give our dogs a half tin each of Lil Caesar moist in the Morning. It is like a treat

| Abbey gets 1/8 cup Innova Puppy dry mixed with 1/2 teaspoon of Merricks wet twice a day.(my adult dog gets more). We then leave 1/8 cup of the dry Innova out for free feeding the rest of the day. I have been feeding my 6 year old toy poodle this way for years with no problem. I think it gives the most nutritional as well as tasty food option. Ellie |

| Benji gets the eukanuba (sorry don't know how you spell it) bits and gravy every other day. He gets half a pouch. He goes crazy when he sees you getting out a glass bowl. I would feed it to him once a day but then he would stop eating his hard food and wait for his wet food so every other day is enough for him. I usually mix it in with some dry food but he picks every dry piece out so it doesn't work too well. I tell ya, some of our yorkies are really picky!!!!

| I give Jo and Riley about a tablespoon each of wet food for breakfast and again for supper...they really look forward to it and I've never had any problem with them eating their dry food that I leave down all day. |
