| banfield Well today i took the dog in for the scooting issue and sneezing, doesnt find no issues on sneezing and scooting he did something with the gland of the dog which made the dog scream. Now yesterday we got the basic exam and fecal test. Today they do another basic exam and check temp of dog through the butt, is it fine that they do that all the time on all visits? temp and basic checkup? also the dog wasnt scooting until we took him yesterday to the vet and after he was, the fecal test the lady put that little stick all the way up because there was nothing lower part i guess that couldnt cause it for scooting? also this banfield they aint specific with there prescriptions they give out it seems, vet says 3 times a day and say 2 times a day on the bottle, we called and its once every 12hrs for some type of preventive thing starts with gia , puppy is 2 months so , if i need to i mean i'll keep paying 20 $ a month for the year since cant cancel and go see someone else, but i'll wait and see give the dr another chance and see what happens and few more changes like 1 month, because he will need to be seen more then once for shots etc... |

| Is the preventative medication for Giardia? I thought they were only medicated if they contracted it? Did the stool sample show traces of it? Giardia is a common parasite. It can be asymptomatic or it can wreak havoc in their system causing lots of diarrhea. They can pick it up from another dog's poop, from bird poop (simply walking where it was and licking their feet) and from standing water.

Gonna ask a pet hospital 24hr emergency somewhere and ask , because if i'm giving my pet this and she doesnt need it well i'm leaving that vet in a hurry but before i do need to get the paper of clean bill of health and shots given already, i dont care how much it will cost me on shots with another vet ...really dont Last edited by yorkieowner24; 08-19-2006 at 03:42 PM. |
