| That seems like a young age to give rabies shot. I think my vet doesn't give them till they are 6 months. Maybe it is different in different states. I have heard of some smaller yorkies getting the shot in two parts. Maybe call another vet in your area and see the age they give the shot. I would definitely get some more info before I gave it to him.

| Bella had hers 13 wks + 1 day. It was a pretty scary evening as she just didn't want anyone to touch her, wouldn't play, nothing but was fine in about 24 hrs. That was last Thursday. Now she is sick with kennel cough and vomitting, but the vet said it was NOT related to the rabies shot at all. At least I now know she is protected from rabies!

| My breeder recommended waiting until at least five months. I felt better getting it then.

| My vet also also told me to wait until Gucci was at least 6 months. If you are concern discuss it with your vet. Gucci havent got her shot yet cause she was sick with ringworm since a week after i got her. SHe has being in treatment for it until recently and the vet wouldnt vaccinate Gucci until she was better. She was on treatment for 5 months . So now i have to take her and her all her shots up to date. Good luck with your little one. |

| I was also advised to wait until six months of age - that is when Tia will get her first Rabies shot
