| Baby teeth... Hi everyone! My sister's yorkie, Cookie, just turned 6 months on the 10th and this morning my sister found a baby tooth. Now I read this is normal but she is freaking out about it and I thought I would post a message on here just to give her some peace of mind. The baby teeth fall out around this time, right? Does anyone know approxiamtely how many? And how long do the new ones take to come in?....basically any info at all you guys could give me would be awesome! |

| It is perfectly normal for her to be losing her baby teeth. She will lose all of them and adult teeth will grow in quickly. However, yorkies are notorious for not losing all their baby teeth even when an adult tooth has come in behind or beside the baby tooth. Keep a watchout for this and if the baby tooth doesn't fall out, then it will need to be pulled by a vet. |

| They start loosing their teeth around 4 to 6 mths - her puppy has probably lost some before and she didn't notice! The puppies don't even notice, sometimes they just get swallowed while they are eating. And Rebecca is right - keep an eye out for those 'doubles' - I had to have 14 of Oscar's teeth pulled cause he looked like a shark with two rows of teeth - I WISH those suckers had fallen out on their own!

| Jake was 6 months on the 9th and over the last week I've found 2 teeth, so I'd say its pretty normal. |
