Tia Pics!! 3 Attachment(s) Here's the pictures you sent me of Tia & her mom! They're adorable!!!! For someone so little, she seems to have sooooooooooooo much energy!!! I think it's cute how she plays with her! And the mom looks like she's being sweet. Does she treat her different than the others? Keep up the good work with her. I know it's a tough road, but this little girl looks like she's worth it! (keep the pictures coming...we love them!) |

AWWWWWWWWW! Tia looks precious playing with her mom! I'm happy she gained some weight. She's so fiesty! I love it! |
Tia is so precious. And she looks so healthy! It's hard to believe she has any problems at all. She must be getting enough vitamins from what little she does eat and drink to keep her going. And gaining weight, too! You have done an awesome job with her and should be so proud -of both of you.:p I just love these tiny little babies with all their fiestyness. |
Hi Breny! Sorry for the delayed responses! Its been kinda busy around here. Im pooped! Wish there were three of me today............(I take that back no I dont!!!!!!!)............a very scarey thought......... :D Thank you for your kind words to me. Very touching, and I know they are heart felt & genuine. They are so much appreciated. I am absolutely no expert on this subject, but when I do respond to this thread, it comes with the best intentions and alot of thought. I also encourage anyone who takes great thought for Tia and Breny to speak right up!..........you may know something or be inspired by something not thought of..........Breny and I dont bite...........but TAKE CAUTION Tia and Joker might;) How Is Tia the Zoomer? That girl eating on her own yet? Is the formula still coming alot from her nose? The pictures of her and her mom playing are so cute..........and I really like the one where she is alone rolling on the floor! Such a doll! You asked me earlier "What are you thinking?" about the formula and food coming from her nose. Right now I think Tia is adapting and trying to eat on her own. If everytime she eats on her own and she coughs and spurters and carries on, and stuff comes out her nose..............she might need surgery down the road. Its very possible. .............But if she isnt acting sick, and when after she eats she does not wheeze, or have to lay down, or lose all energy after having food on her own. Then its possibly she is just adapting to the new things in her life. Just do what you are doing. It is obvious it is working right now. Breny You are truely doing a wonderful job. (Most vets wont even consider surgery until they are 6 months or older anyway) I wouldnt use the antibiotics at all if she isnt showing the first bit of sickness. .......But if she is wheezing or acting like she has problems breathing at all, it is a serious consideration. Hugs and Kisses on the nose! |
4 Attachment(s) I just finished feed ing Tia.........Here's how she acts after a good feeding and a good pee ! :):D |
Attacking her mom, biting my toe, biting her mom in the rump! Running around like crazy! |

Tia is doing pretty good! :) She's is taking more licks on her own  Deffinatly not as much as I'd like. It seems to come out her nose quicker when she drinks on her own. She has a better time with the bottle. With the bottle some only comes out when she's all done. I've been cutting back on the feedings. Sometimes the bowl is empty, sometimes its not touched. She's not even touching any type of food. Its in there for her though. She for sure doesn't loose energy after I feed her. She sneezes alot though, but never has to lay down. And she never acts sick. What do you mean exactly by wheezing? She has a raspy sound to her breathing and always has, its louder after she eats. What would she do/or sound like if she was having problems breathing???? I for sure hope to avoid surgery. Not only for her sake, but for mine as well! ($$$$) I hear most times the surgerys don't take and they have to do 2-3 surgerys. I just don't want that. I still want to beleive in what I read at Hennwood site, on how noe of hers had surgery and lived with it all their lives. I just always hope, everyday, that this poor little girl gets to live a happy life. I'd be devistated if things couldnt improve. Thanks for replying!!!! I was looking for you! Have a super weekend!!!! |
Caught In The Act!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 Attachment(s) OMG!!! I caught her in the act! Isn't she funny!!!!! See! She climbs the webbing to the top, trying to get out, and then slides down. I finally caught her in the act!!!!!!:D |
1 Attachment(s) Breny and Tia Joker says "Hi!" "....And if he had the time he would send a hug:rolleyes: I am full of energy. I sleep very well but when I am awake "I am non stop!" I prance, I play, my favorite toy is a green squeeky frog . I dont bark all the time but if I feel like it, I show I can! I am important, and everyone will know it! :) Joker is doing very well. He is a great puppy. He certainly has my heart strings. He doesnt require any special feedings. He eats only dry food and water now.........he does get treats though a few times a week.............beef, chicken, cheese, eggs yogurt bacon carrots........whatever we have to offer at the time. He doesnt have any problems eating at all. He is just like any other puppy. I sent a picture of him as he looks today. Its a good one because you can see his cleft lip very well. He does have a cleft palate too, but if I didnt tell you you wont know it now. He doesnt have any problems, other then his funny lil face. I finally captured a picture that shows him like he is. He can see his funny face. God bless Tia. We think about it everyday. And I know we are not the only ones. |
OMG!!!! He is so cute!!! You'd NEVER know anything was "special" about his health. You are so very lucky that he is eating well on his own, I can only hope I will be as lucky as you :) You are deffinalty an inspiration to me. You advice and updates on Joker really keep me going. They really do!!!! Thanks so much for the update on him. He's so lucky to have you!!! how old is he now?? and his weight? What type of dry food are you giving him now? Do you remember the exact age he started to eat the hard on his own. THANKS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH !!!!!!!! |
Tia "may be part monkey!" Little climber she is! And Your family is lovely by the way. Joker is around 4 m old, he really doesnt like to talk about his weight anymore. He is small but does not like to talk about it at all anytime. ................he ate dry around 8 weeks easily. He eats eukanuba, Iams, Diamond and Pedigree. Go Tia go! |
I stopped in to night to read a few post and came to this thread and could not pull my self away from it untill I read the whole thing. lol I wanted to post and tell Breny and Luvdorkyyorkies what an amazing job you are both doing for these little ones. Your thread brought back so many memories of my little one I cared for for seven years. so many years ago.and it was worth it all. I had a little Yorkie that was gave to me at a few weeks of age, The owners said the momma was pushing it away and asked if I would take it in. I could see something was not right with that little baby and after many test it showed that the baby had been stepped on, Its back end had been crushed and there was nothing the vet could do for it. She was in no pain but everyone said I should put her to sleep. How could I ? I took her in and she had a wonderful 7 years. After a few years the owners told me that they thought their little girl had stepped on her, but didnt know for sure. Well she brought me so much joy, She hopped like a rabbit and wore a diaper all her life. But to me she was perfect. after she turned 7 she had stroke after stroke and then I knew it was time.and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. and she will always have a spot in my heart and her picture still sets on my desk for everyone to see. I just wanted to say. I know how much work it is and how hard and the tears it brings us. But the happiness we get from these babies are so much worth it and to see them so happy then you know you have done a good job. So keep up the good work and Im so proud of you both and Im so happy God gave you both these babies to care for.Theres a lot of people that wouldnt bother. So they are very lucky to have you both as their mommie's. Keep the pictures of Tia and Joker coming they are both so adorable and has made me smile . I will check back from time to time to read their updates. Good luck and Ill be praying for them both. |
Just a little painting for you both. 2 Attachment(s) Its only a program painting , But I hope you both like them. |
Yorkieshadow, Thank you for sharing your story with us.....so touching! DO you have a picture of your rainbow bridge girl? I would love to see her. Thank you for the computer images on the kids!! That one of Tia is soooooooooo darling!!! Tia Rose. Isnt that what you call her Breny?? I save it to my computer. TIa kinda feels like my baby. Breny, I made a mistake on when Joker started eating dry, IT WAS MORE LIKE 10 weeks he ate it easily. Would you beleive he weighs 1 lb 11 ozs today at 117 days old. He isnt gaining alot but Im so glad his weight continues to go up. Hes a lil sensitive about his weight because most of his weight is his head........LMAO! I know you arent crazy about your vet, but maybe it would be worth it to get her a check up now. The wet noises she makes might be all in the nasal passages but I think I would just get a professional opinion that she doesnt have fluid in her lungs. You had said you had had some antibiotics on hand........tell your doc that and ask him to give you an exact measurement of how much to give if he says you should. Maybe he would help you in that way to save you money if that is a concern. Heck she might not need them at all anyways!! I took a good look at Jokers mouth, it looks like a a thick skin flap is beginning to close his cleft somewhat. For awhile it looked wider but their are some changes going on now. I think he is beginning to have a close down of the cleft a little..........Isnt that great!!!? So maybe Tia's cleft will start to close some when she gets to 4 months like Jokers is doing. I sure hope she doesnt require surgery either. Its VERY expensive too. Hopefully she wont need it but maybe if that time ever comes we could take a collection to help pay for it. I know I would donate to help her. I think alot of people would help you. There are alot of good people out there. As long as they can check its for a legitimate cause, people would rise to the occasion Im sure. I know there have been many times I wanted to donate for cuases but many times it turns to be a scam. This is one situation though where people would know it was legit. But hopefully surgery will never be needed at all!!!!!!!! Well its a beautiful day and Im off to the good old outdoors. Feels like fall here today for sure. Later Tater. |
Forgot to address. If you hold Tia up, her chest against your ear and you hear a kinda musical rubbing sound that can mean fluid in her lungs. I wouldnt listen right after eating cause you will prolly hear the nasally wet sounds, and its really hard to tell if its coming from the nose or lungs then. Maybe listen right after a nap or after playing for awhile. |

AWESOME!!!!!! about Jokers cleft closing up. How cool is that?!!!!! I'm so happy for you! Now he can fatten up a bit and live a normal happy life like he already has been. So how spoiled is he now??? :D So where does Joker sleep? Do you have other dogs? has he taken over the roost? :D I tried listening to her lungs, but I think it all sounds like its coming from her nasal passage. She always sounds raspy and sneezes. But I think its coming all from her nose. Its hard to tell but I'm almost sure??? If she had fluid in her lungs, wouldn't she be sick and pass?????? Or do they just live normal with the fluid in their lungs? She deffinatley doesn't act sick in anyway, or lifeless, or tired at all. Thanks again for all your help! :thankyou2 :big_hug: |
1 Attachment(s) Im glad you both liked the pictures. Here is a picture of my baby .her name was tazzy taz for short. |
