| Worried about Simon's Eye :( Simon has allergies in his eyes but I think there may be something more to it. Every few days he will be looking at me and his left eye almost won't open. Or it looks lazy. I've also noticed in pics like the one below his left eye is really dull compared to his other and it's like this in most pics. Anyone know what it could be? He doesn't paw at it a lot and it isn't constant. |

| I not sure what it is, but if he has an eye infection or allergies buy some saline solution (not cleaning) like sensitive eyes by bausch & lomb for soft contacts..that is what the vet told me to use for cats & dogs..

| hmmmm...I don't know what it is but I can't really see in the pic. It looks fine to me except that there is only glare in one eye. Did you ask the vet about it? HOw about his vision? out your finger in front of his face and move it left and right. See if BOTH eyes follow it.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | How old is he? Could it possibly be cataracts or an ulcerated cornea? I would ask the vet what they think.

| You should take him in to the vet and let them have a look. It could be an infection. He may have scratched it or something. It is really simple to treat. Hope he is feeling better soon.

| My poor little man Cataracts sound scary to me!!! He's only 2 1/2 They are at daycare today and the vet is next door so I just called him and he is going to pop over and get Simon and check him out. I hope it's just an irritation or infection. I put drops in him everyday though which is why I think it may be more than that. |

| i cqnt imagine why you wouldnt have brought him to the vets to check his eyes out right away. its vvery important to take care of any possible eye issues- infections, ulcerations, etc... immediately. ive lived the past 9 yrs with a rescue who has had chronic eye problems but dont waste any time to get him the vet if there is ANY question of a new problem. |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Sorry, no help here. Jack has bad allergies too, and one eye will even start to close because of it. Let us know what your vet says. I'm glad he lives so close.

| Well the vet said his allergies are really bad and that is probably what is causing it but he seems to have vision problems in that eye too. The good news is that it may just be from the allergies so we are going to check him again after a week on the new eye drops. |
