				   | Sounds like it might be something he is sticking his nose in. Some do have grass allergies and some are allergic to plastic food and water dishes. Also a dog allergic to fleas can have a reaction even if you never see a flea. One bite can set it off and you may never see a flea on them. Thats usually a back and hind quarter itch though. Allergies can be hard to pin point. |

				   | I have never heard of Colloidal Silver but I will definately check for it the next time I go to my pet supply store. I have wished there was something I could put on him topically on the spot where he itches. Thank you for the tip. That's what this forum is all about. It is so helpful in so many ways.

| YT Addict | I did a little research into the colloidal product I use. This is what I use: Chris Christensen Systems- Peace & Kindness! Here goes: Chris Christensen Systems™, the makers of White on White™, Black on Black™, Ice on Ice™ and many other exceptional grooming products, has now taken coat care one step further and developed a Unique Miracle In Skin Care. Peace & Kindness™ is a natural alternative to antibiotics and steroids for use on all animals including humans. Available in a spray or gel you can apply Peace & Kindness™ to any skin aliment from cuts to ear infections and watch its healing action go to work right before your eyes - with no side effects! Peace & Kindness™ ingredients of pure colloidal silver (an all natural mineral that many people even substitute into their daily diet regimen) is not only powerful in its' unique healing abilities but is very beneficial to the internal immune system as its minerals absorb into the skin. http://www.chrissystems.com/peace.htm Hope this helps a bit...Alex's allergies were really bad this A.M. and I put it on his face and he has been sleeping on my lap ever since. He is such a cuddle bug. P.S. Never thought about plastic dog bowls. He doesn't use them...lucky thing eats out of antique china. |

| YT Addict | iheartyorkies Alex went to the vet today. She recommended putting him on a fish and potato diet. She told me Eukanuba, but I come from having show experience and that is not a good food. No breeder will touch that food. So I am looking into the one you recommended and Wellness. Since that is what he is currently on. Thank you so much for all your help ![]() Anyone have any other input on fish and potato foods?

				   | Myguyalex, if you want specifics on how to do the fish and potato diet let me know. I home cooked it for awhile till my vet said she's heard about the Flint River Ranch web site. The only thing about the baked FRR food is it comes in larger size chunks. Ok for my schnauzer but would probably have to be broken up for a Yorkie. Also I went to the chrissystems site and ordered the Peace and Kindness for my Schnauzer. I'll let you know how it works. It was 13.00 for 4 oz. but the shipping was 7.00 (ouch!). If I like it I will order the bigger size next time. Thanks for the input!

				   | Hello My dog has bitten her feet all her life to the point where she could not walk. I have tried every thing - and I mean every thing I wont bore you with the history but unfortunately it came down to steroids. Which of course stop the itch but kill the dog. I found Web site (or should I say another web site)which said they could guarantee their product worked and was all natural and safe if the dog licked the cream. So I sent for it - epecting it not to work like the rest of the stuf Ive bought. In short Sally has not bitten her feet since I started using it she is off steroid and off anti histamine (we found neo claritin gave her some relief) and I only use the cream onece a day now. It is miraculous - I feel I want to pass the info on because I have had years of upset and know there are many dogs out there suffering this torment. any way the cream is dermacton www.petnat.com Good luck Yours Rita |

				   | Our youngest was recently diagonised with allergies to 'dust mites'. The vet suggested changing her diet too, but so far have not seen much change in the scratching around her face area. She will stop when we tell her but also will scratch until she crys out. This has been great info, because I found no change using benadryl, I'll diffidently check out this info. Thanks Glenna Last edited by glennanorris; 05-11-2005 at 06:42 AM. |

				   | Sally was allergy tested and dust mites came out as the allergen. Since I posted the information about the dermacton cream, the situation has changed again. the first week I used it 2 times a day now I only have to put the cream on once every 2 days and then shes not really itching. I am so pleased it is a big relief for us I hope it works for you too. |

				   | Rita.b is right. DERMACTON really works wonders. After years of trying different "remedies" that didn't work or seemed to offer temporary relief, I found something that really works. It's manufactured in the UK but now it's being imported and is available in the USA at: http://equinat-usa.com/pages/dermacton.htm This stuff is all natural and I can't say enough about it. My little baby Sweetness is a literal ray of sunshine since I got it. No more itching and scratching, suffering and driving herself (and myself) crazy. As it was, I about drove myself mad trying to find a solution. I tell everyone about it because it really is a miracle. Now if only I could get my money back on all the things I tried that didn't work like they said. The inventor of Dermacton should get a prize!Plus, when I ordered it - the package arrived in 2 days!!! |

				   | In the meantime, use Tea Tree Oil -pure oil, not a lotion with malaleuca in it-in very small amounts on the areas. It is mildly disenfectant and the smell and taste will discourage chewing... |
