| Licking Paw Again A few months ago I noticed my yorkie licking and biting his paws alot. So I posted the question of why he does this. I learned from YT that it could be a sign that he is allergic to something. At the time I was feeding him Royal Canin which has corn so I switched him to Natural Balance and the licking stopped. I have noticed though that this past week every morning he licks his right paw. He only does it in the morning so I was wondering, is this a sign of another allergy or is he just grooming himself? |

| Our Magic licks her paws alot - for lots of reason - such as a sticker, a bite or scratch, allergy issues and sometimes even as a stress reducer. We have talked about this alot with our vet and he told us some dogs do this to "comfort" themselves. Our vet told us they may not lick when they are hurting/itching. We only try to stop this if she begins to cause herself to get red/irritated or if she is biting and tearing up her hair. I hope you figure out what is causing your licking problems.

| Mitzi was biting and licking her paws a lot until they got raw. It was partly her food (corn) and partly a fungus. We got rid of it by applying 'Animax ointment' prescribed by the Vet. |

| Make sure the treats you give your baby don't have corn, wheat or anything he may be allergic to. |

| I noticed him doing it again this morning but only for like 2 minutes and then the rest of the day he's fine. I guess he must be comforting himself. I will mention it to the vet since I will see him this Thursday because my poor boy is getting neutered |

| Reuger's been scratching and biting his paws but I think that it's because of chiggers!! We all have chiggers! They're awful this year!!

| My mom's yorkie bites her feet and the vet told her that she is allergic to something in the grass. She also chews her toenails if they get too long for her liking. Yorkies are so funny to me. |
