i know dogs should not hang their head out the car window because it can damage their eyes. romeo likes to hang out in front of the fan. will this have the same effect as hanging his head out the car window? i don't want to damage his eyes.

I hope not both of my dogs sit in front of the fan. I think it's the same as us sitting in front of it.

I think the car window thing hurts their eyes because they are looking straight into it, but it seems to me if he isn't staring right at the fan he should be good

Starsky loves to stick his head out the window of the car. I didn't hear this can hurt their eyes. Where did you hear this?

I have a little mini-heater I keep in the bathroom and Buddy hangs out in front of it while I take a shower. I joke that he thinks he's in front of the fireplace.

He seems to be nice and warm and content...

I'm not so concerned about the wind as I am rocks or other debris being kicked up by cars in front of me and hitting the pup smack dab in the eye, so I've never let any dog hang its head out my car window.... I have plenty of dings on the front of my car because of small stones, I can only imagine what it would do to my little pups eyes!

I think he'll be fine sitting in front of the fan. His eyes might get a little dry if he stares into it for too long, but I don't think it has the injury potential like hanging out a car window has.

my friend took his golden to the vet a couple hundred dollars later he had a Rock Inbeded in his eye ball
dogs should not stick there head out the window they should be in a carseat if you get into a car accident it will go FLYING out the window

i think the fan is fine

Mitzi is a "fan fan" and lays right in front of it. She never had problems with her eyes because they are mostly shut zzzzzzzzzzzzz

no i dont believe the fan is the same at all.. i think the biggest problem with sticking their heads out of car windows is the dust and tiny debris that may be flying around.. not just the wind.
