| My Cooper just seems so hungry all the time (he eats so quickly as well -- like he's never eaten before!), but it's probably just a doggie thing! Just wondering how much food everyone's yorkie eats per day!

| It's hard to say because I free feed dry kibble all the time. I put about 2-3 cups out at a time in two different bowls and when it's gone, I refill. I suppose I fill the bowls every other day or so, sometimes more frequently. They also get 1/2 can Innova each per day. So, to be tiny dogs, yes, they eat quite a bit, but they are very active as well. Alot of it also depends on WHAT you feed, as the ultra premium foods require a lot less than the grocery store brands. They would eat me out of house and home if I fed them a cheaper grade food!!!

| My two (one slightly over 5 lb and the other slightly under 6 lbs) each eat about 2 tablespoons of dry kibble in the morning (if that) and about twice that with a tiny bit of minced up boiled chicken and broth in the evening. The kibble I use is Nutro lamb and rice. They eat very few treats other than the occasional piece of kitty kibble or small chunks of raw veggies. It seems like such a little amount of food but both are quite fit looking and poop plenty (Brandy's actually a little bit chubby) so I assume they eat enough.

| My little one (3lbs) eats about 1/4 cup in the am and 1/4cup in the pm if that! She doesn't seem hungry so I hope she is getting enough! |

| I mix 1Tbspn pastina with 1Tbspn wet food and 1/4 cup of wellness dry food twice a day. Both dogs are about 10 pounds and are 10 and 9 years old. NO TREATS unless they are carrts. Look out for the high fat content in doggie treats. I learned that the hard way when my older one got pancreatitis last fall. |
