| ![]() if she was confined in a crate or something when it happened she probably did it because they are very finicky about keeping their beds clean. but if not, dogs dont see it as pretty nasty like we do and find it tastes good- so i wouldnt be concerned about her eating it, i'd be worried about why she threw up

| ![]() This is very normal behavior for dogs. The Bible even mentions it. Proverbs 26:11 "As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool returns to his folly." You may wish to rethink what you are feeding though if your baby keeps throwing up from time to time. Wishing you the best!! |

| ![]() Daisy does the same thing. As soon as she throws up she will eat it, I have to pick her up and put her in another room until I can clean it up! Chloe doesnt do it though!

| ![]() No she really doesnt. I know why she throws up i think. My dad is the one that feeds her and when he does and she is done eating then he leaves the food out. Which in turn, I think makes the food bad bc its mixed dry food and wet food. Since there is wet food sitting out i think it is not fresh anymore then she sees the food out and eats the rest a few hours later...And then the food is nasty then she throws it up.....and since they like to clean their messes she eats it......is this a good theory or am i crazy??? |

| ![]() Don't read too much into this. Its a natural tendency for a dog to eat their vomit- end of story. I wouldn't be leaving any wet/dry mixture out though. Also what kind of food are u feeding? Maybe that needs to change. ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() It sounds terrible to us - but is really not that strange for a dog. Wild mother dogs - wolves - cayotes - etc. carry food for miles home to their pups and then regurgitate it to feed their pups. This is quite amazing actually - given that they have no other way to carry it - plus if they are carrying the food in their stomach, there is no odor to attrack other animals. Mother nature knows best!!!! So - if your dog does this - just pick him up and move him so that you can clean up the mess. Otherwise, there is bsolutely nothing to worry about! Carol jean |
