| is it normal for my dog to always be asleep?? my dog sleeps a lot, i mean A LOT. he is full of life and energy when we are playing or on the street but at home he tends to sleep maybe 20 percent of the time. he is one year old so i dont know, the breeder told me that is normal, do your babies sleep a lot too? |

| 20 % of the time does not seem like so much to me. Lola sleeps much more than that. She stays up a little longer than she did a few months ago, but I would guess that she is asleep more than she is awake. All dogs that I have ever owned were like this. I just assumed it was normal.

| our two sleeps all day along, especially Zoe who is only 3months old. One weekends, she naps at least every hour and when we're ready to go to bed at 10pm, she's up and wants to play. Poor girl has her hours all confused. Hopefully she'll one day adjust to our sleep schedule

| Bailey is 12 weeks old tomorrow and she sleeps (or at least is quiet) in her crate through the night - up to 8 hours. During the day, my wife is home with her and I get to spend time with her in the evenings. With constant supervision, we've determined that she will run, play, sit on a lap soaking up attention, etc. for up to 1 1/2 hours - then she will sleep for about the same length of time. So she sleeps (or rests very quietly) for about 16 hours a day. Most of the time, that seems like a very good thing - because the energy required to keep her company when she's awake can be huge! |

| Punkin is 13 months old and sleeps a good part of the day. I work at home and she curls up beside my desk in her bed and snoozes. When we are moving about the house doing stuff she usually follows us around and she's always game for a walk or a game of fetch on my breaks. I do try to give her things to chew and play with so she doesn't sleep so much.

Mine sleep quite a bit. Never really thought much about it before. I agree it is normal.

| Yes, Bailey sleeps a lot, more when it's really hot or really cold outside, I've noticed.
