Neosporin to heal after Neuter? Hi there... My vet is closed today but I'll call tomorrow - in the meantime I was wondering if I could put something like Neosporin on Buddy's incision for his neuter - to maybe counterract any itching while it's healing and to have it heal faster - they said not to wash the area, but didn't say anything about using Neosporin or anything like that... He is wearing his E-Collar so he's not licking at it, but he's at the point where he's all anxious and wants to be running around...

I had asked my vet that and he said absolutely not... I don't remember the reasoning for it though. I'll look through my paperwork and see if I can find out why.

(my apologies - I have now learned to use "search" to find old questions that are the same!) :-)
