Sick - looks like cottage cheese??????

Hi, the 2 little pups hving been doing really well. I have just let the mum Penny feed them, they were all fine, put some food down, most of them ate it, then the little girl was sick and it looked like cottage cheese - they have not been eating anything white, what could this be??????

Have these puppies been given worm medicine. Some times if they have parasites (worms) they will throw the worms up. If she hasn't been wormed yet I suggest you take her to the vet ASAP. This is the only thing I can think of if she hasn't eaten anything else......

Thanking for replying. the pups had been wormed with panacur 6 days ago, and 2 days ago went to the vet, he did say it could have been the wormer a little too srong for two little ones, but I would have thought the sickness would have stopped - they have diaroeha still and it stinks!!!!
Any more hints!????

white is usually curdled milk...she perhaps had an upset belly and the moms milk didnt settle well, that sometimes happens. I hope she is doing better today. If not I would feed white rice and boiled chicken for a couple days.

im sat here at 6.13am uk time with the little boy pup in my lap who does not look too good He is very weak, but just 2 mins ago, woke and went for a wee on the paper. I have got him with a heat mat underneath him as he seemed cold earlier on. he has not eaten, so i gave him 2ml of lactol - i have him close to me now and his eyes are open and he keeps looking at me, and i keep talking to him - pray he gets better.

do you have nutra drops, nutrical, nutristat? if not, karo syrup? I would give him a bit of that and have him vet checked asap. Make sure you keep him hydrated until you can get him to the vet. I am wondering the age of the pup please?

hi kimberley - he pup is nearly 5 weeks 5 days today,he perks up and then goes back down. Just given him some lactol as he has not eaten properley since thursday when he went to the vet - vet gave me electrolites the litle girl picked up fine and so did he at first, but today he seemd pretty low. Been up since 6am with him keeping him warm and given him lctol every hour 2ml. He has jjsut been for a poo, it was a bit 'snotty', (soz but the only way i could describe it) I have put himbck with the rest of the litter and he is sleeping. WHAT ELSE CAN I DO - VET IS NOT OPEN TILL 2PM.

did they do a stool sample? sounds like mucous, if thats the case did they check for bacteria? coccidia or giardia...I would again suggest feeding white boiled rice and boiled chicken ...stop the milk...and take in a stool sample to your vet ASAP. what is the weight of the little man??

He weighs 7 oz, has been to sleep with the others they all gathered round him, so i let them sleep for 2 hours, all of them have been out on the paper, even the little one, he has been walking around with tail up, (good sign) , then went for a poo and was walking round with tail down and kept looking round at it. Mum cleaned him. Not gave him any lactol, but should he not eat or drink something??? going to the shop to get some chicken, do i mash the rice and chicken together???? Thanks for helping. x

do I have this right he is 5.5 weeks old and weighs 7oz are you sure?

you can buy baby rice ceral, mix that with a bit of turkey or chicken baby food...either way..yes specially that tiny should be fed often..
