| Let me do some searchng for you. My 2 favorite foods are Solid Gold and Natura Products (Innova, California Natual..etc.) because they are very healthful, and pretty much what they say is in the bag, I feel confidendent is in the bag (as opposed to ground up possom and phenobarb)..so check on those websites if you get a chance before I do, and see if any fit the fat content you'll likely be looking for a senior or low cal food, you may have to add some supplements like NaturesFarmacy.com Dogzyme ultimates or Missing Link. www.naturapet.com www.solidgoldhealth.com

| On solid gold's site, their Holistic Blendz is 6% min fat. http://solidgoldhealth.com/products/...?id=6&code=160 The Hundenflocken isn't much higher at 10% I've not tried the holistic Blendz, but the hundenflocken has been eaten here, and relatively well accepted. (Their fav is the wee bit). Innova Senior on the Natura site has 8% http://www.naturapet.com/display.php...%3D%2733%27%5D California Natura Lamb and Rice/Chicken and Rice Reduced calorie also 8% http://www.naturapet.com/display.php...d%3D%275%27%5D You will need to find something to increase his calorie count on these lower calorie foods without adding fat since he is still a growing boy.

No Longer a Member | When Gizmo ran his dose of ID after his Pancreatitis I started him on Innova with chicken, rice and oatmeal for sensitive tummies. They have the small bites (not a whole lot bigger than a chicklet). |

| pancreatitis my miniature schnauzer, lola, was going thru a bout with this, so our vet sold us on prozyme, an enzamatic powder that helps break down the food so the pancreas doesn't have to work as hard. it's a supplement that's carried in the vets office about 25 dollars. my yorkie, jack, has ibs (colitis and tons of food allergies) so with prozyme also sprinkled on his food natural balance venison and brown rice...it's helped him also. yorkies are known for having pancreatitis, but didn't expect it for lola. in the middle of the night she would act like she was vomiting, very little or nothing would come out. so we started her on half a pill of tagment (100mg) in the evening and prozyme sprinkled on hers and jack's food twice a day and voila no problems! try it. |
