sneezing clear mucas comes out Just got my little yorkie 7 weeks old, started sneezing the second day I had her, with clear mucas coming out sprays everywhere. Took her to vet, who gave her clavinex antibotic. A little better today, but very week does not want to move much, sleeps a lot, put pedialyte in water to preven dehydration, does drink the water, buy is not eating at this time. Any suggestions, we have already fell in love with her and want to do what is best for her. Also the vet we went to complained the whole time about small dogs and how they can get sick, doesn't think dogs should be that small, will change vets as soon as she's better.

7 weeks is way too young for a Yorkie to be sent on his or her way... What does your yorkie weigh? It may not have been fully weaned off being with its momma...

sneezing clear mucas come out She weighs less than a pound. Was weened at six weeks. Taken from Mom then and then with brother and sisters for a week. Am I doing the right thing for her, should I do more? Vet just said keep her on antibotic for 2 weeks. If there are other suggestions to help her let me know. I don't was to lose her.

| Keep her warm, no chills. Also give Nutrical as she isn't eating well right now. You sound like you are doing really good taking care of her so far and I am sorry she is not feeling too well. Don't over stimulate her, no baths yet either. Keep us posted and I like your idea about changing vets.

Try these things: http://www.goodwinol.com/vetrx.html 1. VETRX DOG & PUPPY Relieves upper respiratory ailments produced by congestion or allergy. Use when these symptoms persist: sniffling, sneezing, nasal discharge, noisy breathing. 2. Puppy formula, and bottle feed until 12 weeks (start offering dry/wet food at 10 weeks): Esbilac Puppy Milk Replacer Liquid Life-saving formula that closely matches mom's milk in protein and energy. Fortified with vitamins and minerals. Supplementation helps maximize puppy and mom's condition. This milk supplement is very similar to moms milk and offers vitamins and minerals necessary for growth. You can get this at most Petco's and a bottle. Make sure the milk is wrist warm, and give only an oz at a time in the beginning to get her going. Follow package directions. 3. As soon as you reach the last 2 days of antibiotics, I would give this: (1/4 gram/ day in bottle) Probios® Bovine One Plus Natural E (CHR Hansen) Probios Products are good for: Incoming Cattle Hospital Therapy Newborn Calves Fresh Dairy Cows Bottle Calves Probios... Improves feed conversion Increases growth Stimulates appetite Helps livestock survive adverse conditions First direct-fed microbial & high level, natural vitamin E combined product for calves, fresh cows, feedlot cattle, veal calves, sheep & goats. Dosages: beef cattle under 400 lbs - 10 gm, newborn calves - 5 gm at birth, dairy cattle - 30 gm at freshening, veal calves - 5 gm, sheep / goat newborns - 2 gm at birth, incoming feeder lambs - 5 gm & breeding ewes & goats - 10 gm. NOTE: 300 gram tube requires Applicator Gun (Item #PN-P3). PN-PB Probios® Bovine One Plus Natural E, 60 gm http://www.jefferslivestock.com/ssc/...ry&dept_id=520 Good luck! I am sorry to say that your breeder did the incorrect things. ps, I agree with Schatie's Mom, keep her warm, no chills, no wind, in a warm dark place. I would put a radio in with her on soothing tunes too. Deborah Last edited by moonvalley; 05-06-2005 at 09:37 AM.
