| constipation.... warning: this subject matter may not be appropriate for some audience This past weekend, I caught Mason struggling to "drop" his poop....he was squatting for a good minute, and was straining to poop, and finally gave up after trying . He looked very upset, so I lifted his tail and examined his butt. I found a dry clump of poop that was stuck - maybe like 1/5 inch hanging out. So, I tried to grab it to remove it out of the way.....I ended up making a mess!! it smeared all over his tail/butt and it was peweeeee It didn't bother me too much, but obviously Mason was not a happy camper. Has anyone experienced this with your baby? What is the proper solution to constipation?? |

| A while back I was going through the same problem. I tried the pumpkin, but Cordelia would not eat it. I tried mixing it with her food; she still would not eat it. My vet asked if we give our cats Petromalt Hairball Remedy. She said that acts as a laxative when you give it to your pets and that it is safe to use on puppies http://www.petco.com/assets/product_...847611001B.jpg

| A capsule of flax oil on food every day or two will help, as will additional fat in the diet from feeding some real beef. Dry skin, dry lackluster coats, and dry stools are from not enough of certain things, make sure there is always frsh water available as well. Hope this helps, retained stools lead to toxic build up in bodies and overwhelm the kidneys and liver. Best, deborah |
