| Anyone ever bred a Yorkie & a s**tzu? If my yorkie is pregnant, that is the combination. I've seen a couple of sites that have "Shorkies". Just would like to talk to someone that maybe has this combination. Thanks. |

| i know the mix makes some cute puppies. my yorkie plays everyday with my co-worker's shih tzu (we bring them to work) and i swear if she was a bit older, we'd be having a litter of "shorkies" too! but, i'm getting him neutered next month when he's 6 months. let me know if your yorkie is gonna be a mommy! |

| Ha! My Ruby is a Yorkie/Shih Tzu!! However, she is black & tan with a white belly...most of these mixes (that I have seen) have Shih Tzu (whitish) coloring....you can do an advanced search on www.dogster.com and see other Shorkies! Yea!

| Well, Yorkie's are adorable and so are Maltese's so I would think the babies will be very precious. I hope when the litter is born you will have lots of pictures to share. I wish your pregnant Mama the best of health through her pregnancy and delivery!

| They could look like Yorkies, Shih Tzus, or not like either. I would guess they would be little fur balls. Is the female or the male a Yorkie? I ask because Shih-Tzus are larger dogs and larger skulled than Yorkies. If the Yorkie is the male it would be an easier delivery. If the Yorkie is the female I would be sure to get an x-ray and discuss a possable c-section with your vet. |

| Thanks everyone for the replys Thank you so much for your reply. Actually the female is the Yorkie and the male the Shih Tzus. However, my little girl isn't so little. She is 10 lbs and the male dog actually weighs about 6 1/2 lbs. She isn't overweight, just one of those that grew bigger than she supposedly should have. So I'm praying that if she is pregnant, everything will be okay. Thanks again. Barbara |
