I have been feeding my four yorkies and now my two 5 month old girls beneful for a long time and they just love it, mostly the green and red ones which must be the veggies. I am now giving them the weight control because one of my girls is very small and feels like a little tub the vet says she's OK, but I don't want them getting fat. My yorkies are all about 5lbs. I have tried IAMS and EUKANUBA and CAnine 33, but I guess they enjoy beneful better. Never had any digestive problems, thank GOD!!

I am feeding my little guy Merricks in the AM, dry during the day (actually stays out all the time) Eukanuba small bites and Beneful in the evening. He loves the beneful so I am not taking it away form him just because it is not the best thing for him. I think people get way too caught up with this heathy diet thing - it is not like he is sitting on the sofa eating potato chips all day long. Plus he is such a picky eater I can not imagine the benefuls is worse for him than him not eating and having another hypoglycemic attack and dropping on me. If Murphy will eat it - he gets it, when it comes to dog food. It is funny because I used to have a lab and she would eat anything - this guy challenges me every day!!!

I agree with you Sims822257. I think there could be much worse out there for them to be eating, or being sick!! Emmy is picky too, even with her treats, so to find something she likes is great! I know plenty of dogs who have lived healthy and LONG lives off of purina and pedigree. If she eats it, that is good enough! =)

See I tend to disagree. I tried all the fancy pet store dog foods and Emmy hated them all. Finally we tried the Purina Beneful and she absolutely loves it and eats all her food now! I would be getting a 2nd opinion from a different vet, and vet that tells you it's ok to feed your dog fillers and processed food is a fool IMO!
Look at the paper at all the obits and how all these young people are dying wayyyyyy to soon, it's because most of them are over weight and un healthy due to all thses in-expensive fast food joints and buffets, I'm sorry but my baby means more to me then just feeding her anything, I will continue to buy her the best foods! same with my family!

All I have to say is "TO EACH THEIR OWN" Geez - lets not be so darn harsh if someone wants to feed beneful - leave them be! SERIOUSLY -some of us should read what we write before we send it!

we feed our yorkies beneful ......... they love it
i was feedin them science diet till i seen my sons yorkie coay how much prettier it was com paired to his brothers ........ our vet said its ok .
but i make a doggie cassarol for my fur kids with chicken and rice and veggies they get that with vitimans
