| Sorry for the oversight Rocky's Dad - I had not heard anything about Nutro but Royal Canin was getting much news exposure in Canada so I thought maybe the info got misconstrued |

| Hi All, I am new to YT, I just joined today. I am excited to see all the helpful information that all of your are so willing to share. I have a 10month old male Yorkie named Cosmo. He's just adorable and the love of our life. After reading this thread I am a little nervous as I just switched him to Nutro brand food not too long ago. I am hoping someone has some more information to share if it is the cause of deaths and/or seizures. Thanks. |

I was thinking about putting Baby Blessing onto that when she is 10 months of age, but I definately will be doing more research to see if there is any problem with their food line. We have Baby Blessing on the Royal Canine 33 as this was her choice she was so picky of an eater that we finally found one she liked. Welcome to YT I'm glad you found this site, know you will really enjoy it, so many, many wonderful caring people here, and many that are very knowledgeable on yorkies. Hope you will post some pictures in the gallery so we can stop by and visit Cosmo and see what a handsome little guy you have there. I think all yorkies are handsome little guys or gorgeous little gals, I just LOVE YORKIES. Have a wonderful day. Patti and Jack and ~~Baby Blessing~~ | |

| with Nutro Lamb & Rice formula kibble. I have fed it for the 2 1/2 years we have had our dog, with no bad effect. 2 weeks ago I bought a bag(4 or 5 lb) and poured it into a plastic container to keep it fresh. I noticed it was darker in color than usual. I fed to both my dogs as usual. The yorkie started to vomit and have diarreah after about 3 days. The next day the other dog started the same symtoms. I decided the only thing they had in common was the Nutro food and took them off immediately. The symptoms cleared up in 2 days time on both dogs. I went to the store where I purchased it and told them to check their codes or whatever to see what happened to their product. I am so glad that I stopped the feeding when I did. By the way I didn't tell the store owner for the money either. I wanted him to know that his food made my dogs sick. Not everyone is in this for the money they can make. |
