| ![]() I took Titan in to get neutered and his retained baby teeth pulled yesterday. The vet kept him overnight and my husband picked him up this morning. He (my husband) called me at work to tell me Titan seemed ok but was really stinky when he picked him up from the vet. So I came home to find my little boy with poop all over his little tush. Not just a smear but an entire poop mashed up in his butt fur. Despite vet instructions not to bathe him for 10 days, I bathed his hind end and got him smelling much better. What really annoys me is the vet handing him over in this condition. According to my husband the poop was already there when he picked him up from the vets. Don't you think they could have cleaned him up a bit before sending him home? I find it hard to believe they didn't notice it. I'm a little annoyed at hubby also because he was too much of a wimp to clean up Titan's butt himself and just let him sit there stinking for several hours until I got home. What a baby!

| ![]() Yeah the Vet should have done something about it. I would have called them back and asked about bathing since they didnt clean him...just to see what they said. And hopefully im not stepping on anyones toes, but its such a guy thing to react that way (at least from my experience w/ guys and dirty diapers)! |

| ![]() my bunjee pee'd and poo'd on himself and his lead when i took him in for his neutering. the reason why i know was that i waited a little bit for the lead 'cause the vet's office was laundering it for me so that i can go home with a clean lead. so obviously, i think the vet technican or someone should have cleaned him up before turning him over to you. ![]() |

| ![]() Glad he is o.k. after his surgery and yes, they should have cleaned him up before they sent him home. I would call them back and let them know the condition they sent him home in was not a very nice one. My hubby would have made them clean him up...he would not have done it himself! He said he was allergic to dirty diapers when our son was a baby... ![]() ![]()

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | ![]() You are very right to be annoyed. For what these vets charge us they could have at least done that. I have never had that problem with my vet but if I did I sure would call and tell them off. The dog just had surgery and cleanliness is a big part of them healing well. As for your husband I totally agree that he could have done his part as well. It is definitely like a dirty diaper...some men like to avoid it...lol. Anyhow I hope his recuperation goes well. ![]()
