| Natural Balance Dog Food Hi there..has anyone tried the Natural Balance food, they sell it at Petco. I was just reading up on it. I have a very fussy tiny shih tzu baby and she came from the breeders eating IAMS puppy food dry. She won't eat that anymore and now I'm on to boiled chicken mixed with IAMS wet puppy food and now she's turning her nose at that too. This is getting tiring. I don't give my kids this many choices for their meals everyday!! Thanks for any responses. |

| We switched Jazzie and Jewel to Natural Balance in December. They both love it. It was recommended by our Alternative Medicine doctor. I read up on it too like you are and was impressed with the quality. My girls are on the Potato & Duck formula for allergies. I think you can get samples through the web site. Hope you baby likes it. Another one to try is "Flint River Ranch" they are mail order only.

| I have a very picky eater also. I have had Liberty on Royal Canin since we brought her home, but have had to try other foods because she just turns her nose up. she goes in spells. right now she is doing fine. we had her on Natural Balance the rep was at petsmart when I was in there, I told him that I was having a problem getting her to eat. he gave me some free samples I tried them and she would not eat it. so I started putting chicken broth on her food every time I feed her. did this for about two weeks, than went to only giving it to her once a day, did this for about a week or two and now I'm not giving it to her at all. I belive it is all trial and error. My furbaby is much more of a picky eater than my two children are they eat anything I give them. Good Luck!!!!! |

| Yes............. I feed my boys Natural Balance. IT's a very good holistic food from everything I have researched about it. It also made the WDJ good food list. My boys love it. The bites are small also. Good Luck!

| Aggie will eat anything. But, I picked Natural Balance because of its great quality. It's also carried in some majore pet suppy stores (ie. Petco) which makes it easier to purchase. She's currently eating the blue one, Ultra Premium. |

| Natural Balance is #1 in my book! Chewy loves it, the purple bag is his fave, I think it's the venison? It is a really good food with no fillers like corn or any by-products. I would definitely try it if I were you! |

| Bailey has been on it for a year, the lamb and rice formula. When Bailey stayed at Daddies while I was in the hosp, his dog eats Purina One, and I asked if Bailey tried to eat Chloe's food he said " nope, smelled it and walked away, but Chloe often tried to get at his." hmmmm

| I FEED DICK VAN PATTEN'S "NATURAL BALANCE"-> I've been feeding this food, pretty much since it hit the market. Overall I like it and so do my dogs, but then again I've always had good eaters. The first time they walk away from their food for more than two minutes, I take it up. OH, and as far as FLINT RIVER RANCH is concerned, I think they have excellent marketing and the food is of good "quality", as in the ingredient, but I wonder if their ratios are simply off. There is a single dog that I've met that hasn't had either loose stool or soft (more common) stool while being fed this diet. I've had a lot of my clients try FRR; Wellness; Solid Gold and Artemis and the general concesis is that many would like to stick w/ either Natural Balance or Artemis. I happen to agree! But the best thing you can do is get samples and test your dog on taste first. Does he/she like it? Okay, then stick w/ it for awhile and see how his/her body reacts to it! All of these foods are higher quality and are deemed "Rich" by many nutritionalist, so to switch from one to another SHOULDN'T yeild any diarrhea (sp?). M2C |
