| ALT is a liver enzyme, so it could be some sort of liver problem. do you know the AST also?

| No I don't know the AST I am planning on calling the vet back tomorrow I wasn't home when they called so hubby spoke to the vet. He just told me what they said then I thought I would come on here and ask all the wonderful YT people. for the websites |

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Most likely the AST is in the normal range, it doesn't neccessarily have to be elevated because the ALT is, please don't worry about it, it could be something easily to take care of. Has your yorkie been on any medication recently? Please let us know what your vet says, and we wish all is going to be fine. Patti and Jack |

| I see your baby is a year old. What food do you feed him? How high is the protein content? It is now recommended in some circles that we feed no more than 22-24 percent. I use RC Shih-Tzu at 24% protein, mixed with BilJac..2 parts BilJac to 1 part RC.. |
