| Panting Is This Normal Wondering if this is normal? When Gizmo runs a short distance ( couple of laps in the house) he starts panting. If he is outside running around he pants. Just seems like he doesn't have to run very far before he starts. He is 5 1/2 months old and weighs about 6 #. Is this normal or should I be worried? After he stops running in a couple of minutes his breathing returns to normal. I have read so much about collapse trachea I am concerned.

| I'm not sure if its normal or not but, Katy does it too. She will even hang her tongue out the side of her mouth when she is running around with a small tennis ball. |

| Excessive Panting... Is not normal. It doesn't sound excessive. Collapsed Tracheas have more of a cough or hacking when pressure is apply to the front of the neck. If it gets worse you may want for vet to check him out. PS some of my yorkies pant more than others.
