Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Surgery Recovery will be 2-3 weeks. The ortho will usually advise waiting until the pup's growth is done (as long as things are not super bad). In the meantime you can give her glaucosamine (you can get it in pill formula or a powder to sprinkle on the food) this will also be good post-op. There are some foods that have this in it already...I know some Nutro doggie foods have it. I used a top notch ortho surgeon in the Animal Medical Center located in Manhattan. He was great...very well known for these surgeries.
