| I've always said that my middle yorkie, Cooper, looks like an awkward teenager or a lil' ol' man. His coat was a shamble especially around his face. It looked really awful . . . kinda like his hair was breaking. Well . . . . in early January, I switched all three of my yorkies to Canidae All Life Stages. I am seeing a marked improvement in Cooper's coat in just two months time! He has a good bit of new growth . . . so much so, you could swear that I had cut bangs over his eyes! Additionally, the length of his coat in all other areas has increased dramatically! When I originally was looking at switching him over to Canidae, I looked at the testimonials on the website and was impressed. Combine that with the quality of the ingredients and I figured that I couldn't go wrong. I'll keep you posted and post in about 2 more months to let you know more about his progress. http://canidae.com/dogs/all_life_stages/dry.html I know Muffie's mom switched her pups' food around the same time. Pat . . . what is the status of your babies' new diet? Lisa

| In case you're wondering what I fed my yorkies prior to Canidae . . . . Innova (fed the largest size bag before switching to Canidae), Nutro Ultra Puppy, Science Diet Nature's Best.

| Have you noticed any difference in their weight? I currently have Jo & Riley on a mix of Innova puppy and adult food and Jo has put on a little weight lately...I think it's because the puppy food is still mixed in. I'd like to feed them something they will enjoy but not put the weight on. |

| Cooper was "skinny" before he began eating the Canidae. He gained a pound but has leveled out now. He's a whopping 4.6#, Carter is 4.4# and Crissy is 4.4#. Before the Canidae, Cooper was 3.3# and Carter was 3.6#. Cooper is now a year old (2/28/05) and Carter is 20 months old (7/4/04). Crissy is still just a wee lil' girl at 28 weeks old. Lisa

| Thanks Lisa...it sounds like Jo might put on a little with the Canidae also. Do you think it's because it's new and maybe they're eating more than usual or is it higher in fat? Also...what about 'potty' issues...are they going more or less on the Canidae? |

| I don't think they're going any more . . . but with three of them . . . seems someone has always pottied!! I think my two boys were a bit skinny and now are better nutritioned. They are nowhere near overweight still. I really like the Canidae. I don't have a local distributor so I mail order it. I refuse to change . . . . I've seen too much improvement in their coats.

| The boys have to finish their Innova but maybe I'll get a couple samples of Canidae the next time I go into the feed store. They were going twice a day on the Innova puppy food but with the adult mixed in they're going quite a bit more so maybe it's time to try something else. |

| I tried Canidae and found it produced excessive and not firm stools in my puppy. I changed him to Nutro Natural Choice chicken, rice, and oatmeal and it seems to agree with him. I also tried Merrick's dry, Wellness, etc. My vet told me to keep trying until I found the right food for Tuck. I have 3 dogs and they all eat different brands of dog food. Jessica |

| Jessica: I'm so glad all three of mine are eating the same food! I cannot imagine feeding time at your place! Lisa

| Sorry but I'm fighting my digital camera and printer dock trying to get a darn video to get emailed to myself so I can forward it on. What a pain! Muffie is eating Canidae Platinum which is for seniors. She started gaining weight so I stopped feeding her "what she wanted". I switched her back to 1/4 cup twice a day. She's doing better now. She dropped from 8 lbs back to 7 lbs. She's still a little heavy. Muffie normally only poops twice a day. Missy is eating Innova PUPPY. She's finally gaining weight also. She's eating 1/2 cup twice a day. I weighed her while ago and she's up to 7 lbs. also!*! She normally poops 2-3 times a day. She's long and slender so I guess she could stand some more weight on her. She is already as big as Muffie. Missy is now 5-1/2 months old. She has grown so fast! I'll switch her to the Canidae All Stages when she's close to a year.
